Epidermal Rejuvenation with Survixyl IS Anti-aging Peptide
Ashland Specialty Ingredients announced a new addition to the Vincience™ biofunctionals line – Survixyl IS™, a unique cosmetic ingredient designed to boost the Stemness Recovery Complex™, a group of five factors critical to preserving the niche environment that is key to maintaining a healthy population of epidermal stem cells.
Compensating for the loss of terminally differentiated cells, stem cells help skin achieve homeostasis and preserve its appearance through a process of rejuvenation. Survixyl IS, a unique new peptide, has been formulated to support skin rejuvenation and help preserve cells from the effects of stress. The highly distinct peptide is designed to boost the Stemness Recovery Complex™, a group of five factors critical to preserving the niche environment that is key to maintaining a healthy population of epidermal stem cells.
“Survixyl IS is the result of our advanced research on stem cells and their impact on skin rejuvenation. Consumers will surely be excited when they learn the benefits of this novel, break-through technology,” said Joel Mantelin, Global Marketing Director, Skin Care. “There have been other rejuvenating products in the marketplace before, but none focused on the Stemness Recovery Complex like Survixyl IS.”
Ashland Specialty Ingredients' Styleze XT3 for Durable Styling
Ashland introduced Styleze XT3 to expand the possibilities of styling products. The polymer for use in hair styling gels, mousses and creams is a heat-activated ingredient designed to support consumer-perceivable benefits over multiple wash cycles. Because the polymer stays on through multiple washes, hair strands enjoy superior protection from heat due to ironing or blow drying. The result is stronger and shinier hair with reduced bulkiness and improved manageability that last for days.
Ashland Specialty Ingredients' Aquastyle 300 AF
Hair gel formulators in need of a polymer with superior hold, humidity resistance, vibrant shine and other benefits traditionally have turned to ISP’s AquaStyle™ 300 to satisfy their performance requirements. Now ISP is making the same benefits available in AquaStyle 300 AF, a patented alcohol-free fixative polymer to satisfy consumer demand for low-VOC styling products.
AquaStyle 300 AF (INCI name: Polyquaternium-69) enables formulators to develop a broad range of new products free of alcohol and low in VOC content, including clear and cream gels as well as other non-traditional styling products such as crèmes, aerosol and non-aerosol mousses, styling lotions and sprays. Because there is no sacrifice in performance, AquaStyle 300 AF delivers the same benefits as the more established version containing alcohol.
